Birgit is an Austrian writer who owns a wonderful blog The Book Garden. I don't usually follow blogs about books and if I do, I quickly get tired of them. This blog is an exception. I think I found her through a giveaway hop, but her posts captured my interest and I became a regular reader. Naturally I couldn't resist when she announced to host two reading challenges on her blog.
In this challenge you have to read books with more than 700 pages. I became a fan of long books since I first read A Game of Thrones by George R. R. Martin. I decided to start with 4 Books - Berry Tea Devotee. I may upgrade to a higher level later (I don't want to get too ambitious ;)).

I must admit that I have never heard of Dean Koontz before, but I like Birgit's taste in books in general (and I think that her opinions are intelligent and interesting), so I didn't hesitate with joining the challenge. I picked first level (3 Books - Odd Thomas' Mailman) and I will move on if I will like him enough.
